Sigh. Here we go again. On June 11, just about a month after season 1 of Off Campus hit the streamer, Prime Video issued a “special request” across its social media channels, asking certain fan accounts to quit their “targeted harassment” campaigns.

“The Off Campus community is built on a shared love of storytelling—and on respect for the real people who bring it to life,” the warning read. “We ask that everyone in this space extend that respect to our cast and the people in their lives. Accounts that engage in targeted harassment will be removed from following our accounts.”

Based on Elle Kennedy’s best-selling book series, Off Campus was renewed for a second season months before season 1 even debuted, and the gamble paid off, seeing as the first season netted 36 million viewers worldwide in the first 12 days of its release.

Of course, all that attention means extra scrutiny for the show’s stars…and their IRL partners.

This isn’t the first time that Prime Video has had to issue a stern warning to fans. Ahead of the season 3 premire of the mega-popular series The Summer I Turned Pretty, the streamer released a pointed statement, asking viewers not to engage in hate speech, doxxing, or any harassment of stars or fans.

“Cousins is our safe place. Everything good, everything magical. Let’s keep the conversation kind this summer,” the statement read.

The show then laid out a series of community guidelines, announcing a zero-tolerance policy. These included: No “hate speech or bullying,” no “targeting our cast or crew,” and finally, absolutely no “harassing or doxxing members of the community.”

More recently, in March 2026, TSITP fans were warned yet again after several fan-captured videos from the movie set hit the internet.

“We love the excitement, but sharing locations and visiting set disrupts filming and creates real safety concerns for our cast and crew,” they wrote at the time. “We’re working hard to create a protected bubble to make the best movie possible. Please help us protect the magic of Cousins until it’s ready to be shared.”

In conclusion: It’s totally fine to enjoy your Prime Video BookTok-inspired YA romances. But can we just be normal about it, pls?
