Do you ever sit around wondering what Sabrina Carpenter’s favorite movie is? Because it’s Shrek 2. I repeat: SHREK 2.
Sabrina casually revealed this incredible fact while walking the 2026 Met Gala red carpet, literally yelling out “Shrek 2!” when asked by a reporter what her favorite movie is.
I love her.
In case you missed Sabrina’s look last night, she wore a custom Dior gown by Jonathan Anderson that was literally made out of film strips from the 1954 movie Sabrina, starring Audrey Hepburn.
She told Vogue, “It’s all made of film, which is my dream! Jonathan Anderson, the genius that he is, and Dior, the whole team, I can’t even express my love and gratitude for them. We just did all of my Coachella looks together and then they hopped into making this dream dress. Jared Ellner, my stylist, we put it all together and it’s amazing—it’s just from the movie Sabrina, which is one of my favorite films of all time!”
Sabrina also performed at the Met Gala and sang hits including “House Tour,” “Espresso,” and “Please, Please, Please.” She was then joined by Stevie Nicks for a duet of “Landslide” and “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow,” while Stevie performed “Gypsy” and “Edge of Seventeen” solo. And yes, there’s footage!
