When Clarke Carraway and Courtney “Coco” Watson joined Love Island USA last summer, they quickly bonded as bombshells in Casa Amor—at least, that’s what Coco maintained after being booted off the villa last summer. But as the girls reunited on season 2 of Love Island: Beyond the Villa, there was a bit of awkward tension between them after their experience in Fiji.

In case you need a refresher, Clarke didn’t immediately vote to save Coco from elimination and asked to be skipped during the deliberation. But once Coco was sent home, she eventually opened up about feeling “a type of way” about the move during an appearance on the Behind the Likes podcast in July 2025.

“I was really excited to just be out of the villa with her and really be with my dog,” Coco said at the time. “Obviously, things are cut and clipped in certain kinds of ways, so I’m not mad at anybody. Much love to her, but that did make me feel a type of way.”

So, when Belle-A Walker essentially Parent Trap-ped Clarke and Coco at Friendsgiving, they discussed how they had been feeling since everything went down. Clarke shared she thought it was a little weird for Coco to say they were really close when, in reality, they had known each other for four days on Love Island. She also didn’t necessarily love how Coco hopped on a podcast mic before talking it through privately.

Naturally, the conversation got a little tense when they weren’t seeing their respective experiences eye-to-eye, and they eventually dropped it for the sake of keeping the peace around everybody else.

As for where they currently stand? Clarke exclusively told Cosmopolitan, “As far as dealing with that, I can only speak for myself. I can’t speak for her. I would like to think that we’re both good.”

She added that though they initially bonded in the villa over their similarities, they still have their differences at the end of the day.

“We are both God-fearing people, and we have a lot of similarities and a lot of things that we aren’t on the same page about. That’s normal, that’s life,” Clarke went on to explain. “It’s just the fact of being able to respect one another, regardless of whether we disconnect on something.”

Coco has yet to weigh in, but it seems the girls are pretty indifferent, and it’s all water under the bridge after their Friendsgiving discussion.
