For the 2026 Met Gala, Zoë Kravitz walked the garden-inspired steps in Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello and Jessica McCormack jewelry, with a very perfectly held left hand dipped shyly behind the fabric of her gown. This year’s theme is all about bodies as an art-form, and Mrs. (allegedly) Styles decided to keep one specific body part out of view.

Zoë’s look featured a guipure-lace full-length gown with long sleeves and a scalloped sweetheart neckline. It included a structured nude-ish bodice with a sheer skirt that really leaned into an almost goth-girl wedding aesthetic. She finished off the look with green stone drop earrings and a large sculpted ivory ring, distinctly on her right hand. She wore a pair of black Romy slingback pumps.

And while she did not let anyone get a good look at her left hand, to determine if she wore her engagement ring out tonight, creating this hysteria by hiding her hand is one of the chicest ways to continue soft launching your prospective marriage to Harry Styles.

Neither members of this very star-studded coupling have released a statement on their next steps, but using fashion’s biggest night to stoke the fire is good enough drama for me. So, whether this becomes the most quietly kept engagement of all-time, or not, I’ll always remember (and love) Zoë’s pocket-filled Met Gala carpet moment.
