The first five episodes of Perfect Match Season 4 just dropped on Netflix, and things are already messy. Mostly because Chris Dahlan and Kayla Richart formed a very fast connection after she joined the cast and took him on a date (he was technically matched to Mackenzie at the time).

Chris described Kayla as a "beautiful girl that I actually really vibe with” and told his friends “I feel like I haven’t had this feeling in a long time” (*camera awkwardly cuts to Mackenzie*). He also gushed about Kayla during an interview, saying “I’m definitely an over-thinker, thinking about our kids already and marriage, its like dude we've just met. But I’m going to be confident in this connection until you give me a reason not to.”

And that reason came fast! The pair were promptly voted off the show for—according to their costars—not being there “in pursuit of a genuine connection,” though honestly it seems like Kayla was targeted because she was new. Either way, the pair were less than thrilled about being chopped, but Chris promised Kayla this wasn’t the end of their story.

Direct quote: “We’re not done. We’re not done, okay?” Oh and: “I’m excited to get to know you more.”

Just keep in mind that all of this went down in episode 3, and Chris shows up in the house again in episode 5. So…did he and Kayla actually stay together after their whirlwind 24 hours-ish relationship?

Are Chris and Kayla Still Together?

Unclear, since obviously the Netflix Powers That Be obviously don’t want things to be spoiled. However, due to having way too much time on my hands, I did a deep dive and found some interesting tidbits for us to read into. Like the fact that Chris has been consistently liking Kayla’s posts on Instagram AND leaving fire emojis:

So if they aren’t dating, things are at the very least flirty! Of course, we can’t overlook the fact that Chris made out with another woman during episode 5 of perfect match, so if they did get back together it was clearly…post show.

For What It’s Worth, They Just Hung Out Together

Press for Perfect Match is amping up, and Chris and Kayla were at the same event on May 6 and both posted photos. There’s not a lot to analyze body language wise, but they’re clearly on good terms.
