Rumor has it Widow’s Bay is even “better than Martha’s Vineyard” and after watching season 1 of the brilliant horror-comedy, we have to agree. And, like we all knew it would, the show ended on a cliffhanger—specifically, some very ominous bell tolls. Fortunately, we haven’t packed our bags and seen the last of Widow’s Bay or its quirky inhabitants. Here’s what’s ahead (and while you’re waiting, might I recommend a Twin Peaks watch? It definitely scratches the itch).
Hell yes. Apple TV announced a season two renewal on June 11.
Filming on season 1 took place in June 2025, so it took about a year for the series to make it from production to premiere. The season 2 filming schedule hasn’t been announced, but it seems safe to assume the show will follow a similar timeline and drop about 12 months after production starts.
Ahem:

TBD, but seems safe to assume our faves will be back: Matthew Rhys, Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll, Dale Dickey, K Callan, and Jeff Hiller.

Only the writers’ room knows, but creator, showrunner, and executive producer Katie Dippold said, "Season two is about how everything is great on the island and there’s nothing to worry about.”
More accurately, the show will likely deal with the fallout from Loftis realizing his son Evan is the final descendant of Richard Warren, which means that for the town’s curse to truly be lifted, Evan has to die.
Welp, I’ll just be patiently waiting for next season if you need me.
