Machine Gun Kelly Slams Yungblud, Claims He Canceled Tour...
2026-05-21 · via Latest Content - Cosmopolitan

  • Machine Gun Kelly publicly criticized Yungblud for allegedly lying about canceling tour dates due to mental health issues.
  • Yungblud defended the state of live music, emphasizing affordability and accessibility during interviews for his upcoming festival, Bludfest.
  • Fans reacted to MGK’s comments with mixed feelings, questioning his approach while Yungblud’s team maintained focus on his successful tour and new album.

It looks like Machine Gun Kelly had time today. The artist, whose real name is Colson Baker, slammed his former pal and “acting like that” collaborator, Yungblud, for how he allegedly handled a slew of canceled tour dates last year.

It all started when Yungblud, aka Dom Harrison, criticized the state of live shows, noting that artists like Post Malone, Meghan Trainor, and Zayn Malik, among many others, have recently canceled shows amid unexpectedly low ticket sales.

“Live music has become inaccessible—that is a fact—and artists are canceling all the time based on lack of ticket sales because it is an issue. It’s completely unaffordable for people,” Dom said during an interview promoting his upcoming music festival, Bludfest, which he claims was founded with accessibility through affordability in mind.

“What really excites me is the artists and the people hold the power. That is why I started Bludfest,” he continued. “I genuinely believe that with my community we can make an impact and make a difference and be an example of something that is affordable, real, and all about community.”

MGK then came in swinging with a since-deleted comment on the post, alleging Dom lied about the reason he canceled his U.S. tour dates.

Per several screenshots circulating online, he wrote, “You cancelled a tour because you couldn’t sell tickets blamed it on mental health then got [paparazzi’d] at Nobu the next day Pinocchio. And your actual tour tickets are still the same price as every other artist. Shut the fuck up your silver spooned preachy wanker.”

Fans were initially confused by MGK’s comments since the pair previously collaborated on tracks like “I Think I’m OKAY” in 2019 and “acting like that” in 2020. The artists even performed together at festivals like Vans Warped Tour over the years.

“Why doesn't he contact him privately? i assume he’ll have his number. this is not the right way to handle things and is just childish and attention seeking. there is absolutely no reason to insult someone like that. grow tf up,” one fan wrote in response to MGK’s comment, while another said, “MGK is just mad because Dom didn’t ask him to play.”

Others agreed with MGK’s comment and claimed that, despite Yungblud’s efforts to keep ticket costs low, some of his price ranges have previously ended up on the higher end.

Last year, Yungblud removed several dates from his tour due to his concerns with mental health and exhaustion. While the Grammy winner hasn’t publicly addressed MGK’s comments, his reps weighed in on the situation, telling TMZ, “Dom has not commented directly as he is so busy focusing on his sold-out North American tour and finishing his next album. He genuinely hasn’t got time to engage in any of this but we wish MGK the very best.”

’Nuff said!
