It may just be another Monday to some people, but the first Monday in May is basically a holiday for pop culture buffs, fashion fiends, and dedicated stans. The Met Gala is one of the biggest (if not thee biggest) red carpets a celeb could walk, as the coveted charity event takes place on the steps of New York’s iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Upper East Side.
As for this year’s theme? That’d be “Costume Art,” which Vogue says is meant to explore the relationship between clothing and the body as an art form. Some of the A-listers that will reportedly be in attendance include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Sabrina Carpenter, Zendaya, Teyana Taylor, and Bad Bunny—though of course, these are only a few of the names buzzing around online, and I’m fully seated for the looks they’re going to pull.

E! is also airing its own red carpet special, also starting at 6 p.m. ET. Justin Sylvester, Keltie Knight, Zanna Roberts Rassi, Bronwyn Newport, and Renee Montgomery are hosting the three-and-a-half-hour event, which will also include inside peeks of celeb attendees at The Mark Hotel, The Carlyle Hotel, and The Pierre Hotel.
Fabulous Q! Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams are this year’s co-chairs alongside Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.
