If you, like many, were hoping that Love Island USA’s Sean Reifel would come back for Casa Amor, don’t hold your breath—it looks like he is taking his time spent in Fiji as a positive experience and won’t be returning.
In case you’re not caught up, Sean was recently eliminated from the show after being left single after the first recoupling of the season (we were all rooting for him!)— Beatriz Hatz ended up getting with Gabriel Vasconcelos in the June 7 episode. Not long after, he shared a message with his fans on Instagram thanking everyone for for their support.
“I can’t thank you all enough for the love you showed me,” he wrote on June 12. “From all the videos to the funny ass pictures that became the background to my group chats. All of it was more than appreciated.”
Fans, naturally, mourned him no longer being on the show. “Thought you were coming back in Casa amor 🥹😭,” one IG user wrote in the comments, while another added, “Dang it thought you’d be going to casa! Anyway at least your home for Father’s Day! Thanks for being a great representation.”
FWIW, there were signs that Sean was going to be sent packing. His sister, Brice Marie, did share that she knew of his elimination before the rest of the fanbase did. “I did find out earlier today that Sean would be the one being dumped or sent home, because family was told,” she shared in a June 7 TikTok.
“I still cried watching it,” Brice said. “It’s just hard to see him upset, and it was hard to see everyone cry for him. You know, it just shows like, how much of a genuine, kind person Sean is, that he was able to get along with everyone in the villa.”
She added that some of the girls in the villa might not have been ready to be with someone that already had a child—“It kind of felt like a lot of the girls were in their early- to mid-20s and not quite at that stage in life yet. So, it just made sense that he didn’t find a super close connection there in that way.”
