What to Know About Macrophilia: the Giantess Kink That Ju...
2026-05-15 · via Latest Content - Cosmopolitan

thanks to season three’s (somewhat controversial) OnlyFans plotline, Euphoria has brought various genres of niche fetish content to mainstream screens in recent weeks. Episode five added macrophilia—aka giantess kink—to that list, courtesy of a scene in which a giant Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) stomps through the streets of L.A., terrorizing tiny civilians below like a beautiful, blonde King Kong.

The seemingly bizarre scene—which ends with Cassie’s super-sized boobs crashing through an office window—turns out to be a video she’s filming for one of her fans. As some critics have recently noted, Euphoria may not be getting everything right about the reality of OnlyFans–based sex work. But if you’re wondering whether giantess porn is the kind of content real people are really jerking off to, the answer is yes; it absolutely is.

Giantess porn is actually so popular, in fact, that fetish content site Clips4Sale named it the “Fetish of the Year” back in 2024. Meanwhile, professional kinkster and BDSM expert Mistress Kye confirms she’s seen a big increase in requests for macrophilia-related play from clients in her work as a FemmeDom, citing giant/giantess fantasies among a number of niche kinks that have started to garner more attention and interest in recent years.

Clearly, plenty of people are into the idea of a giant woman stepping on them, crushing them, and otherwise dominating them. So what’s this giantess kink all about? Allow the experts to give you the rundown on all things macrophilia, from what it is to why it’s so popular.

What Is Macrophilia (aka Giantess Kink)?

“Macrophilia is a term describing sexual fantasies related to giant persons, whether male (giant) or female (giantess),” says sociologist and clinical sexologist Sarah Melancon, PhD.

The most common macrophilia fantasies tend to feature “a powerful giantess wielding their power and beauty to crush anything or anyone in their way,” says therapist Pam Shaffer. “It centers around the erotic feeling of being ‘helpless’ as the giantess dominates those beneath her, forcing them into sexual slavery or crushing them with her strength.”

Certified sex coach Celina Criss, PhD, adds that people who are into macrophilia often fantasize about “being used sexually, eaten, engulfed, or crushed by giants or giantesses,” while kink educator Emerson Karsh notes that macrophilia “may tap into the sexual interests of terror, the unknown, or pain.”

Not unlike the scene from Euphoria, giantess content often features strategic camera angles and editing to create the supersized effect, and often include creators/performers crushing, smothering, or sitting on smaller people and objects.

Why Is Giantess Porn So Popular?

“If we consider how often giant and giantess-type stories appear in our culture, it isn’t surprising that some people find these themes erotic,” says Melancon. For reference, see: Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Alice in Wonderland, GFB, Iron Giant, and, of course, The Princess Bride.

Psychologist Justin Lehmiller’s study of over 4,175 Americans about their sexual fantasies (documented in his book, Tell Me What YouWant), found that one in three people expressed a sexual interest in mythical creatures of various kinds. In interviews, subjects frequently reported a connection to domination and submission as a subplot in these fantasies. This tracks with macrophilia porn—the person viewing or fantasizing often wishes to be dominated by a giantess or giant.

While anyone of any gender can be into macrophilia (and fantasies can include giants of all genders), Melancon says it seems to be more common in men, at least anecdotally.

What Does a Giantess Kink Look Like in Practice?

For obvious reasons, a macrophilia kink is most often explored through fantasy and/or porn rather than actually acted out in real life. Here are some ways people may engage with a giantess kink in their actual sex lives.

  • Dirty talk about giant or giantess themes during sex.
  • Combining macrophilia with other “crushing” or “smothering” acts, like face sitting or standing on a partner’s body.
  • One partner may lie on the ground while the “giant” or “giantess” towers above, mirroring the camera angles from the TikTok #Giantess videos.
  • Making sex tapes with angled cameras to create the illusion of size difference.
