As audiences tune into the FIFA World Cup to cheer on their favorite teams, it’s literally quite impossible to ignore Christian Pulisic. Not only is he known as the most accomplished American club player in soccer history, but he also helped Team USA achieve its 2-0-0 record and secure its spot in the knockout round of the World Cup.

However, those who engage in sporting events to see the cute uniforms and even cuter players (by the way, this is not a dig…I’m one of you!) might be wondering if he’s on the market after seeing him do his thing on the field. So, is Christian Pulisic single in our good year 2026? Signs seem to point toward “yes,” but given his low-key social presence outside of brand sponsorships, it’s hard to tell. Christian was romantically linked to pro golf player Alexa Melton for nearly two years, and they initially hit it off as most couples in the internet age do: in her DMs.

“I was like, who is this dude with 8 million followers and why is he DMing me?” Alexa said, recalling the interaction for his Paramount+ docuseries, PULISIC. “I scrolled through his entire Instagram and was like, ‘Oh, he’s a big-time soccer player.’”

Dating rumors started circulating when they were spotted at the U.S. Women’s Open in Pennsylvania in 2024, and had been going strong until April 2026, when Alexa publicly alleged that the soccer star may have cheated on her.

When a fan commented under her Instagram post, “This generational fumble will be studied for years to come,” she responded, “Mans was on Raya before it even ended,” later adding in a separate comment, “How many likes to post his Raya profile?”

A few days after making the comments, Alexa retracted them on her Instagram Stories, writing, “I’ve made some comments on a private matter and it’s been taken out of context. I received false info. He is not a cheater. Any narrative beyond that is not mine.”

She concluded with, “Out of respect for Christian’s and my privacy, I will not speak further regarding the matter.”

Christian then broke his silence on the split during an interview with Time published in May 2026.

“I only look at her in the most positive way,” he told the publication at the time. “She was a lot of fun, and she supported me in every way. She wanted to push me to enjoy my life a little bit more and do things with her and do things just in general. And I was grateful for that.”

In the wake of her split with Jonathan Davino, Italian tabloid Bomber’s DNA reported a rumored relationship between Christian and Sydney in December 2025, nearly three months after Sydney reportedly started dating former talent manager, Scooter Braun.

It didn’t take long for Christian to hop on his Instagram Stories and put the rumors to rest.

“Please stop with the made up stories about my personal life,” Christian wrote on December 28, per People. “Need to hold sources accountable it can affect people’s lives.”

Underneath another post from Motivating Sport and Plymarket FC, the athlete doubled down on debunking the initial report, writing, “Fake news guys let’s stop with the silly rumor.”
