Tyla is back for another Met Gala, and if you thought nothing would top her sand dress from 2024, think again! The “Water” singer arrived wearing a bold Valentino dress with a blue skirt and deep-V bodice, decorated with jewels.

Tyla was in Paris for the Valentino couture show back in January, and told Vogue, “It feels very special to attend a fashion show, because I really enjoy watching fashion shows online. I love Paris, so I always love to come to Paris, and the fact I was here for Valentino—ayeeee!”

She also chatted to Harper’s Bazaar last year about red carpet dressing, saying, “I’m very involved. I’m very specific about what I like. Usually, when I work with stylists, I treat it as if I’m playing dress-up with the person. I love to just try on clothes and play around with it so I can figure out what feels right. Sometimes, I like to feel like a doll, to try something I wouldn’t gravitate toward naturally and see what could come out of it. I just really like having fun with it.”

“I like so many different things that I almost treat them as separate characters,” she added. “I like certain things for different versions of myself. So when I perform, I like to put on clothes that make me feel a certain way—and that makes me perform a certain way. My personal style is really centered around comfort. I’m not going to lie; I love dressing up and everything, but when I’m by myself, I like getting fly in the most comfortable way. One time, I went to watch a show in a dressing gown with heels. That was a vibe for me. Incredible.”
