Over the years, different denim styles have taken turns in the spotlight. Low-rise jeans have made their mark this decade, the return of skinny jeans last year sparked plenty of debate (a trend I’m personally not trying to revisit), and barrel jeans have emerged as the latest standout silhouette—proving they’re here to stay. And after seeing the way fashion girls have been styling them, I’ve been convinced—I’m officially ready to add a pair to my own wardrobe.
And lo and behold: You could call it divine timing, or just a very well-timed sale, but Free People currently has the perfect pair marked down for Amazon Prime Day. The only catch? We only have until tomorrow to get in on the deal, guys!

I mean, just look at them! But seriously, they have that perfectly bowed shape—not too much, not too little. Just the right amount of drama. The Ultra Light Beam colorway is honestly the ideal shade of blue, landing somewhere between a light and dark wash that goes with basically everything. And what really makes me a fan of these is the mid-rise fit that gives them a relaxed, easygoing feel.
These are the kind of jeans I’ll reach for when I want to add a little something-something to my usual denim-and-a-tee combo. They bring just enough interest to an otherwise basic look. I already plan on packing these for all my vacations this year because they instantly make an outfit look more put together, but little do people know, they’re also just the only pair of jeans I could realistically fit in my carry-on…
And just so you know, a ton of other super chic Free People pieces are also marked down! Shop my faves here:
