Angela Bassett made her Met Gala debut last year, and she’s back for round two! The actor arrived on the carpet for “Costume Art” looking incredible wearing a beautifully happy pink custom Prabal Gurung dress with a matching clutch, styled by Jennifer Austin. Angela’s look was inspired by the painting “The Girl in the Pink Dress,” and her shoes were custom Alevi Milano.

Last year, Angela told People her daughters were thrilled about her debut at the Met Gala, saying, “We lived to impress these young ones. They were so thrilled that I got a chance to go and as was I.”

She added that she’d been looking forward to the event for "weeks and weeks," and had a “brilliant time” between “running into friends and colleagues” and eating a “divine” dinner.

Side note, Angela recently spoke to Reader’s Digest about what she has coming up next, and said the thing she’s keeping top of mind is “That you’re never too old—that age does not mean limitations and that you have a lot of wisdom, a lot of experience and a voice. You have comfort in being who you are. Your young self tells you to take up for yourself and for others—to speak truth and to show up.”
