For me, a bad hair day automatically means I’m going to have a bad day in general (no, I’m not being dramatic!). I’m the best version of myself when my hair is smooth, bouncy, and full of volume. Unfortunately, I don’t have a personal hairstylist on speed dial (yet) to give me salon-worthy blowouts every morning. So in my quest for consistently good hair days, I’ve tested just about every hot tool on the market.

And for a while, I had completely sworn off blow-dryer brushes. Once I graduated from college, I upgraded to the finer things in life—like heatless curls and the Dyson Airwrap—so my old $50 blow-dry brush quickly entered the beauty tool graveyard.
That changed when I tested the L’Ange Le Volume 2-in-1 Titanium Brush Dryer while reviewing dozens of styling tools for Cosmopolitan’s 2026 Holy Grail Beauty Awards. I’d been seeing the brand all over TikTok for months, and I was curious whether it could actually live up to the hype from my favorite hairfluencers.
Keep reading for my full review of the L’Ange Volume Blow Dryer Brush plus details on how to use it, along with some pretty impressive before-and-after photos.
| Ease of Use | It glided through hair quickly and smoothly with no tangles, thanks to its soft bristles |
| Value | For $69 (and it’s often on sale), this is a fraction of the price compared to other stylers |
| Styling time | It took our tester just 10 minutes to go from her natural waves to a sleek blowout |
This is a blow-dry brush that simultaneously dries and styles the hair. It comes with one attachment (we’re personally fans of the oval), but you can buy the others separately and swap them out if you want a variety of brushes. The oval is best for smoothing the hair, the teardrop shape is best for adding volume, and the circular attachment is ideal for tighter curls. And the blow dryer has three settings: high, low, and cooling, so depending on your hair type, you can toggle between high and low, then set each section after styling with the cool shot.
If you’re new to the world of blow-dry brushes, welcome. They’re so simple to use, and much easier to maneuver than your classic chaos of a bulky blow dryer in one hand and a round brush in the other. Start with hair that’s about 80 percent air-dried, then work in sections, slowly gliding the brush downward from root to ends with a good amount of tension. This is what gives you that smooth, sleek finish.
Once a section is fully dry and styled to your liking, wrap the hair around the barrel one more time and hit it with the cool-shot setting for about 10 seconds to help lock in the style. This extra step makes a huge difference in minimizing frizz and keeping your blowout smooth and bouncy for longer.
After showering, I let my hair air-dry 80 percent of the way. I prefer to minimize the amount of time I spend using hot tools to help prevent damage, so the less heat I’m adding to my hair, the better, IMO. Then I spray ColorWow’s Dream Coat throughout my entire head (my go-to any time I blow my hair out) for heat protection and to add a glossiness to my strands.
I use the blow dryer on the high setting since my hair is on the thicker side, along with the oval attachment, because I’m always going for that smooth finish. Compared with other blow-dryer brushes I’ve used in the past, this one was so easy to drag through the lengths of my hair. Usually by the end of a session, I would have tangles and clumps of hair left in the head of the brush. But this one has sturdy yet soft bristles that make it so easy to glide through the hair, with minimal pulling and tugging.
From start to finish, this entire process took me 10 minutes—the time stamps on the photos in my camera roll literally say 11:15 p.m., then 11:25 p.m. (and yes, I do my hair very late at night; I’m not a morning person). I add in some finishing oil—lately I’ve been loving Chris McMillan’s for some lightweight frizz-taming, and that is all! A shiny blowout in mere minutes thanks to this one tool.

As someone who completely swore off blow-dry brushes, L’Ange has rekindled my love for the 2-in-1 tool. While the motor is a bit weaker compared to other hair dryers (which is understandable because this is less than $100, while high-speed handheld blow dryers are more than triple the price), it’s perfect to use on partially (or even fully) dry hair for a shiny and bouncy finish.
For $69, a 10-minute blowout is a pretty sweet bargain, and extra points for how smooth and tug-free my entire styling sessions have become with this and that I don’t need two separate tools for the blow dryer and the brush.
