I think we all know that it’d be over for everyone else if Zendaya showed up at the 2026 Met Gala, but sadly she’s missing the “Costume Art” red carpet.

Elle reports that “Zendaya is taking a break from the spotlight on Met Gala night” thanks to her very busy press tours for The Drama and Euphoria. Which makes sense, she’s been doing a lot of red carpets recently and clearly deserves a break!

The actor was last seen in public supporting Tom Holland at a Bero event on April 29.

The carpet wasn’t the same without Zendaya, who is known for her iconic looks over the years. She told Vanity Fair that fashion “Is a tool for me. I consider myself a shyer person, which I guess you wouldn’t quite realize from the crazy, sometimes ridiculous things that I wear. I just embody this girl—whoever this woman is tonight. It makes the whole process easier because it’s not yourself; it’s a version of yourself. It feels less like 'What am I doing?' and more, 'This is really cool and fun.'"

The end result? She’s the best to ever do it, so hope to see her next year!
