New Honor X70 Pro Max Debuts With Massive 8,560 mAh Battery And IP69K Rating
Paulo Montenegro · 2026-06-15 · via Ubergizmo

Honor has quietly launched its latest smartphone, the Honor X70 Pro Max, in the Chinese market. The device stands out in the competitive mid-range segment by combining heavy-duty physical durability, a massive battery capacity, and an affordable price point.

The smartphone features a centralized, circular camera module on the rear and boasts an advanced IP69K rating, ensuring high resistance against water ingress and dust. On the front, it is equipped with a 6.79-inch AMOLED display that delivers an FHD+ resolution, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced Edition platform. This processor is paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage, aiming to provide reliable performance for daily activities. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC for contactless payments. Out of the box, it runs on the Android 16 operating system.

The primary highlight of the specification sheet is its 8,560 mAh battery, which supports fast 90W wired charging. For photography, the device relies on a 50 MP main rear sensor alongside an 8 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Available in purple, white, green, and black, the smartphone is currently available for pre-order in China. The base configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is priced at 1,999 yuan (~$275), while the higher-tier version with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage costs 2,399 yuan (~$330 USD).

Looking ahead, reports indicate that Honor is already preparing to expand this high-capacity lineup next week with the announcement of the X80 Pro Max, which is rumored to feature an even larger 11,000 mAh battery.
