New Honor MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 Debuts Bringing 165Hz OLED ...
Paulo Monten · 2026-04-25 · via Ubergizmo

Honor has officially launched an updated version of its flagship tablet, the MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3, in China. This new iteration introduces significant hardware changes compared to the 13.3-inch model released in October 2025, prioritizing a superior display and an ultra-slim profile over raw screen real estate.

Display and Design Overhaul

The most notable upgrade is the transition from a 13.3-inch LCD to a 12.3-inch OLED panel. Despite the smaller size, the screen is significantly more advanced, featuring a 165Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 3,000 x 1,920 pixels. The display reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, is IMAX Enhanced certified, and supports the Magic Pencil 3. For eye safety, it incorporates a 5,280Hz PWM dimming frequency.

The device’s physical footprint has also been refined. It now measures just 4.8 mm in thickness and weighs 450 grams, housed in a premium aluminum chassis. This makes it considerably more portable than its predecessor, which weighed nearly 600 grams.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. While this is a slight shift from the “Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5” found in the larger 2025 model, it remains a high-performance platform. The tablet is available with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB.

To maintain its slim profile, the battery capacity has been adjusted to 10,100mAh (down from the 12,450mAh found in the 13.3-inch version). It supports 66W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging. On the software side, it runs Android 16 with Honor’s MagicOS 10 interface.

Availability

The tablet is currently available in China in Starry Gray and Moonlit White.

  • 8 GB + 256 GB: 3,999 yuan (~$550)

  • 12 GB + 512 GB: 5,199 yuan (~$715)

While it offers modern connectivity like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, this model lacks cellular data support. There is currently no official word on a global release.
