Honor X80 Pro Max Unveiled: 11,000mAh Battery And 10,000-...

Honor has officially launched its latest smartphone, the Honor X80 Pro Max, in China. The device stands out in the market by integrating an unusually large battery capacity without adopting the bulky form factor typically associated with rugged smartphones or portable power banks.

The definitive feature of the Honor X80 Pro Max is its 11,000mAh battery, which supports 90W wired fast charging. Additionally, the smartphone provides 27W reverse charging via its USB-C port, allowing it to function as a power source for other electronic devices.

The front of the smartphone features a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280 x 2,788 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Notably, the screen is capable of reaching a peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits during HDR video playback. The display also houses a centered punch-hole cutout for an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, while the rear camera setup consists of a single 50-megapixel primary sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an LED flash.

Internal Hardware and Software

Internally, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. Depending on the chosen configuration, it offers either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, paired with up to 512 GB of non-expandable internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 16 customized with Honor’s MagicOS 10 user interface. For security, an optical fingerprint reader is embedded beneath the display. The phone is built with structural durability in mind, carrying an IP69K rating for high-pressure water and dust resistance. It weighs 203 grams and measures 8.08 mm in thickness.

Pricing and Regional Availability

The Honor X80 Pro Max is available for purchase in China in four color variants: black, orange, red, and “Moon Shadow.” The base configuration, featuring 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, has an official retail price of CNY 1,999 (~$295). However, a promotional launch price of CNY 1,699 (~$251) is currently available. Honor has not announced any plans for a global release.
