Netlas Updates Terms and API & Data License Agreement - N...
Arthur Kotylevskiy · 2026-03-06 · via Mapping the Internet on Netlas: Comprehensive Internet-Wide Scanning & OSINT Platform

Netlas has updated its Terms & Conditions and API & Data License Agreement. The revised documents took effect on March 6, 2026 and are now available through the company’s legal page.

According to Netlas, both documents were substantially rewritten to make them clearer and easier to use, while also introducing several policy clarifications around account usage, commercial access, and redistribution rights.

Key updates

 • Community plans are now explicitly limited to individual, personal, non-commercial use.
 • Demo access may be provided to eligible companies for up to 30 days for evaluation purposes.
 • Paid plans allow commercial use, including work performed for clients.
 • Resale and white-label usage are allowed only under an Enterprise plan that includes those rights in the Certificate of Entitlement.
 • Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled or disabled before the renewal date.
 • Users may not bypass technical restrictions or plan limits, including by creating multiple free or Community accounts.
 • Scraping or bulk data harvesting remains prohibited unless a plan explicitly allows it.
 • Use by a competitor, or use intended to build or support a competing service, is prohibited under the updated terms.

What users should review

Netlas recommends that current users review the updated legal documents before continuing to use the service.

Customers who redistribute, resell, or white-label Netlas data should verify that their Enterprise agreement explicitly includes those permissions.

Multiple Free or Community Accounts

Users with multiple free or Community accounts are advised to keep only one primary account. Using several accounts to avoid plan limits may lead to account termination.

Questions about the changes or plan eligibility can be sent to [email protected].
