The visit took place as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the economic and commercial ties between Israel and EU member states, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the fields of trade, logistics, and infrastructure.

The delegation was hosted by Shaul Schneider, Chairman of the Board of Ashdod Port, together with Nissan Levy, CEO of Ashdod Port. Among the guests were Roberto Ceccuti, Head of Trade and Economy at the EU Delegation, Eyal Inbar, Trade and Economy Manager, and Security Advisor Daragh McKevitt. During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive professional overview of Ashdod Port’s operations, advanced work processes, infrastructure development, and the technological innovation implemented at the port. In addition, the delegation toured the main operational areas, where members were introduced firsthand to the port’s supply chain and advanced logistical capabilities.

EU Ambassador Michael Mann noted that Ashdod Port plays a central role in strengthening the economic ties between Israel and Europe, and expressed interest in further deepening cooperation in the areas of trade and maritime transportation.

Chairman of the Board of Ashdod Port, Shaul Schneider, said:
“We thank the European Union delegation for its visit and for expressing confidence in Ashdod Port. The visit and the interest shown provide strong support for continuing the professional dialogue and exploring opportunities for cooperation, as part of strengthening relations between Israel and the European Union for the benefit of the global supply chain.”

CEO of Ashdod Port, Nissan Levy, stated:
