FedRAMP DDI Management with Infoblox Government Cloud
Ward Cobleigh · 2026-07-22 · via Infoblox Blog

Agencies now have a FedRAMP Moderate SaaS path to modernize DNS, DHCP and IP address management while improving asset visibility.

Infoblox Government Cloud Receives FedRAMP Moderate Certification

Federal and broader public-sector IT teams are under pressure to modernize critical network services while adhering to a growing list of executive orders, mandates and standards. Often, a solution (if it exists) to a modernization challenge doesn’t meet the stricter governmental standards needed to implement it. Today, one such solution now meets both requirements. With Infoblox Universal DDI™ now available through Infoblox Government Cloud, agencies have access to the only cloud-native software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that unifies critical network services and provides much-needed on-premises and cloud asset visibility.

The Infoblox Government Cloud listing on the FedRAMP Marketplace makes the offering easy to find and evaluate. The service runs in AWS GovCloud (US) and includes Infoblox Universal DDI Management, Infoblox NIOS-X Servers and Infoblox Universal Asset Insights™. Infoblox Government Cloud is a GovRAMP-certified solution for the State, Local, Tribal and Territorial (SLTT) community.

FedRAMP provides the standardized federal approach to security and risk assessment for cloud products and services. For agencies, this certification creates an approved route to adopt these services while supporting procurement and compliance requirements.

This certification builds on Infoblox’s established track record with federal agencies and continues its FedRAMP progress across the portfolio. It marks another milestone in Infoblox’s broader initiative to set the standard for secure, compliant DNS, DHCP and IP address management (DDI) in the public sector.

The Reality for Federal IT

Agencies are leveraging legacy tools in a best-effort model even as their enterprise environments have expanded across distributed hybrid and multi-cloud environments spanning branch offices, remote sites and field locations. In this environment, users, workloads, devices, applications, AI systems and agents all depend on a reliable foundation of DNS, DHCP, IP address management (IPAM) and asset information.

Network and asset management and accountability across that footprint have often required multiple tools, time-consuming manual steps and specialized expertise, increasing operational complexity and the risk of errors.

Where Legacy DDI Management Falls Short

DDI has become critical infrastructure at the center of network and security operations, but many agencies are still running it on legacy tools that were never built for today’s distributed, cloud-first environments. This creates three persistent challenges:

  • Network Resilience: When DNS, DHCP and IPAM are managed manually and inconsistently across environments, even small configuration issues can affect user access and service continuity.
  • Cloud Migration and Automation: Manual provisioning processes and disconnected tools cannot keep pace with cloud deployments, forcing IT teams to slow workload shifts and automation efforts or accept configuration drift and errors.
  • Asset Visibility: Without an accurate, comprehensive view of connected assets, agencies are left with incomplete inventories and blind spots across on-premises and cloud environments, slowing incident response, increasing risk and weakening cyber hygiene and zero-trust execution.

Strengthening the DDI foundation is one of the highest-impact, lowest-disruption steps an agency can take to improve resilience, support cloud operations and build trusted asset visibility across the network.

Universal DDI Management: The Foundation for Network Resilience and Cloud Transformation

Infoblox Universal DDI replaces fragmented, fragile DDI management with a unified control layer and foundation for network resilience. With Universal DDI Management and NIOS-X Servers, teams can apply consistent policies and controls across the locations where users, applications and workloads depend on these services. That consistency helps reduce configuration drift and prevents human error or disconnected tools from affecting end-user access to business-critical applications.

To help ensure successful cloud migration and workload automation, Universal DDI gives NetOps and CloudOps teams one unified platform and a single source of truth across hybrid, multi-cloud environments. Integrations with existing on-premises and public cloud management tools let teams provision and scale DDI services in step with cloud deployments. These capabilities replace manual processes and siloed tools that slow migrations and introduce errors, helping agencies keep pace with cloud initiatives and operational demand without accepting unnecessary operational risk.

Universal Asset Insights: Trusted Asset Visibility across Hybrid Environments

Infoblox Universal Asset Insights helps agencies close visibility gaps by providing a more accurate, continuously updated view of connected assets across hybrid environments. Built on DNS and DHCP intelligence, it automatically discovers assets across cloud and on-premises environments, including IoT/OT and unmanaged assets, validates inventory and delivers actionable insights to agency teams.

It also automatically reconciles configuration management database (CMDB) records against actual infrastructure, closing the gap between documented inventory and what is active on the network. With trusted asset visibility and context, blind spots are eliminated, and teams can investigate incidents faster and make more confident policy and access decisions.

The result is stronger cyber hygiene, reduced operational risk and a more reliable foundation for AI, AgenticOps and zero-trust execution.

A Clearer Path for Agencies and Integrators

For procurement, compliance and IT leaders, the implication is straightforward: Infoblox Government Cloud gives agencies and systems integrators an authorized SaaS route to unify and align DDI control and asset visibility without giving up the governance, resilience and security assurance required in federal environments.

Building a More Resilient Federal Network Core

The opportunity now is to strategically treat DDI and asset intelligence as one critical foundation for federal and public-sector network modernization. By bringing these capabilities together through Infoblox Government Cloud, agencies can reduce operational complexity, close visibility gaps and strengthen the network core that cloud, zero trust and mission services depend on.
