• 3 min read
The past two weeks at SerpApi brought new APIs, features, expanded scraping capabilities, steady improvements to existing APIs, and a range of important bug fixes.
We’ve released the new Apple Maps Places API, allowing users to extract detailed place data directly from Apple Maps through SerpApi. The API provides structured access to rich business and location information including ratings, reviews, coordinates, contact details, operating hours, photos, amenities, categories, actions, and much more. It also supports deep place level metadata such as review summaries, editorial content, nearby places, and provider specific identifiers, making it easier to build location aware applications and AI powered experiences. Developers can use the Apple Maps Places API for use cases like restaurant and hotel discovery, travel assistants, local business intelligence, recommendation systems, mapping tools, and AI agents that need reliable real world place context from Apple Maps.
