A report released Tuesday by Counterpoint Research showed the iPhone 17 series dominated the quarter, with its three main models taking the top positions.
The iPhone 16, which led the market from Q1 to Q3, fell to fourth place in the final quarter.
First launched in late 2024, it was also named the best-selling smartphone of 2025 in a January report by Counterpoint.
Other Apple models in the top 10 included the iPhone 16e in eighth place, while the iPhone Air did not appear on the list.
Samsung ranked second with four devices. The Galaxy A56 was the best-selling Android smartphone of the quarter, followed by the Galaxy A36 and entry-level Galaxy A07, while the Galaxy S25 placed tenth.
Xiaomi was the only other brand in the ranking, with the Redmi A5 taking ninth place.

Overall, the top 10 smartphones accounted for 23% of global sales in Q4 2025, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max alone contributing 5%.
Throughout the year, Apple consistently placed iPhone models in Counterpoint’s top 10, securing the top three positions, while Samsung and Xiaomi alternated positions each quarter, except in Q3 when Xiaomi did not appear.
