Comments RSS feed
Justin Duke · 2024-03-18 · via Buttondown's blog

The launch of comments support for all Buttondown newsletters was a big step forward for Buttondown's community features (and a rousing success besides — thank you for all the kind words and feedback!). But there was one thing missing for authors and readers alike who wanted to keep up with the conversation: an RSS feed just for comments.

Such a feed now exists, magically, right out of the box! Just go to https://buttondown.com/your-newsletter/comments/rss and you'll find — in lovingly, artisanal, farm-to-table XML — all the comments on your newsletter, ready to be consumed by your favorite feed reader.

Not only is this useful for consumption's sake, but RSS makes a great message bus for low-code/no-code tools like Zapier and Integromat to build custom workflows around your newsletter's comments.
