1. languages

when you want to ask a person whether he can speak Chinese or not, you’d better specify mandarine or guangdonghua.　我在这还没遇到只会粤语不会普通话的学生。

3.food

western people like cold food. water served in the restaurant is cold. One raw chicken leg is the same price with a Chinese cabbage.

Althogh Australia is lack of drinkable water,there is no water fee in Australia. There always hot and cold water in the kitchen,laundry and bathroom. The cold water is drinkable but the hot water is for washing.

You can find restaurants from Thai, China,Italy, Germany,Latin America, India,Japan, Korea,etc. You can have cheap food in Thai restaurants. 还没住过旅馆，不了解。这里吃的倒很便宜。

4.house

The rental is quite high in the city. many Asian students share room. Some even live in the living room and window box! I have my own room, that’s why I’m always lack of money! 这里当然也有贵房子，可是便宜的也很多，一分钱一分货。而且人皆有房，因为有房才能上户口，上户口才能办理入学啊开户啊。

The ads about renting or selling car spaces often appear on the poles. Most new appartment are equipped with dry machine and dishwashing machine.

5.traffic

The road is perfect. Most people have cars. The public traffic is expensive and may less available on public holidays. The traffic lights function well 中国的红绿灯也function well，就是人不遵守. The train tickets are sold mainly automatically and passengers are checked with their tickets by a machine. 俺们这疙瘩几乎不查票

6.ATM

when you withdraw cash, the card is rejected first, then the cash. In this way, one can’t leave card in the machine after they get the money. The ATM in China is stupid in this way, isn’t it?

不容易忘卡倒是，但忘了拿钱怎么办？

7.supermarket

There is no place for custormers to keep their own staff before they enter the supermarket. You can bring anything with you when shopping. But you may be asked to open your bag when you go out of the supermarket. It seems not good as what our supermarket do in China. 同志，要想想国人素质，家乐福都能踩死人啊。反正我没遇到查包的，嫌包沉可以放推车里。   8.sky

The sky is really blue. The strangest thing is the sun and the moon can be seen at the same time from early moring to late afternoon. I don’t believe that.  Can you prove it, theoretically or by photos? * (to be continued…)
