Fintan Ryan is the Director for Market Insights at GitHub. He researches the technology landscape with a focus on macro trends including open source, developer adoption, AI, DevOps, software supply chain security, and cloud.

Fintan has deep expertise in open source strategy, having co-authored research and advised enterprises on OSPO design, open source governance, and adoption at Gartner and RedMonk. He has been around open source software since 1995.

Fintan previously held leadership positions across startups, enterprise vendors, and analyst firms. He holds an MSc in Information Systems Strategy from Dublin City University.
