Jamf Nation Live 2026 London and Berlin: AI Governance and DDM
Mignon Wagner · 2026-07-13 · via Jamf Blog

After six successful 2026 Jamf Nation Live user events in the US, this wildly popular community event came to London and Berlin on June 16 and 23, respectively.

The traveling event brought together customers, channel partners and Jamf Nation members to exchange ideas, brainstorm solutions and connect.

Both events laid out a clear vision of where the Jamf platform is headed.

DDM is no longer the future; it's the standard.

Apple device management is now synonymous with Declarative Device Management (DDM). As this new Apple protocol grows and evolves, Jamf grows right along with it.

Jamf Nation already has access to blueprints as well as new declarations that deploy configurations across every Apple platform. Compliance benchmarks back blueprints with continuous verification and automated remediation. And the Jamf Protect agent streams Apple-native telemetry to leading SIEMs — probably including yours.

But that's just the start.

At Jamf Nation Live London and Berlin, Jamf leaders shared developments with the enthusiastic crowd:

  • Beacon by Jamf Threat Labs is a new embedded threat-hunting service, informed by Jamf's own researchers.
  • Jamf Concepts now offers a new app for Mac onboarding: Setup Checklist. It provides a guided first-login experience for Jamf-managed Macs, walking users through the enrollment and setup process and ensuring devices are properly configured.
  • AI Governance for Mac, which launched on June 30, gives admins visibility into what AI tools are running across their fleet and allows IT to control and manage their behaviors.

The keynotes for Jamf Nation Live London and Berlin 2026

Jamf CEO Beth Tschida opened both sessions by framing the pressures admins face today:

  • Rising user expectations
  • Expanding regulatory requirements across NIS2, DORA, GDPR and now the EU AI Act
  • An Apple ecosystem that is evolving faster than ever

Jamf's platform is the answer to that pressure.

Our experts have built it on a modern cloud infrastructure enabled by APIs, UI and AI; accessible from a single entry point: Jamf Account. After all, said Tschida, great technology experiences are built. Not bolted on.

AI Governance: the problem with AI tools

According to a recent PagerDuty survey, Employees are already using AI tools that they first used at home and then installed at work independently, such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor or ChatGPT. In fact, according to the study, "Among those who have ever used AI as part of their work responsibilities, two-thirds (66%) have used AI tools or services at work even though they believed they were not allowed under company policies."

This standard practice has resulted in a shadow AI problem that can make classified company data public.

Believe it or not, according to the same study, 88% of the global workforce has shared work-related information with public AI tools.

And across Europe, the EU AI Act is adding a compliance dimension to an already existing oversight gap.

Visibility

AI Governance's AI application inventory shows:

  • What AI tools staff use
  • What data these tools process
  • Which queries can pose a risk

Also in this rollout: MCP Server Inventory that reports what Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers are running and which AI clients are connected to them.

All of it is built on first-party Jamf Protect telemetry: the same agent and the same infrastructure that Jamf customers already use.

Governance

With AI model selection, file system permissions, MCP server restrictions and command-level allow and deny lists, Apple admins can build policies that control how AI tools behave. Then, they can deploy the policies through blueprints to any Smart Group.

The policy builder generates configuration automatically, no there is no JSON or YAML editing required. When Anthropic or another vendor ships updated enterprise controls, Jamf's vendor control tracking surfaces the new options within days.

The governance report then pulls together information on:

  • AI use throughout the fleet
  • The use of sanctioned vs. ungoverned tools
  • A list of every active policy
  • A full audit trail that's exportable and ready to hand to a CISO or regulator

Jamf blueprints: the engine for declarative delivery

With Apple officially designating DDM as the new standard, blueprints have become the primary way admins deploy and manage configurations across every Apple platform.

During the keynote, Jamf leaders walked attendees through three software update workflows: deferral, enforcement and set-and-forget automation. Admins can configure all three in one place using Jamf AI Assistant to help IT build the right configurations quickly and with no need to dig through documentation.

MDM deprecation in OS 27: the need for speed

With the deprecation of legacy MDM commands coming in OS 27, blueprints aren't just a better workflow; they're the only path forward. Mac admins need to be ready before it comes.

Compliance and security: from configured to verified

Apple administrators must connect the dots between configuration and security posture.

Configuration

Compliance requirements can go a long way toward strengthening your organization's security posture, especially if they are applied consistently. As mentioned above, modern Apple admins use blueprints to set the configurations that rule compliance and then assign them to various dynamic Smart Groups to ensure that the correct users and devices receive the proper configurations.

Verification

Jamf's compliance benchmarks are built on the macOS Security Compliance Project and aligned to CIS and NIST. Compliance benchmarks continuously verify device states and auto-remediate on the devices themselves if the device falls out of compliance.

A Jamf Protect agent sits underneath it all, streaming Apple-native telemetry to SIEMs like Sentinel, Splunk and Google SecOps. And, as mentioned above, for teams that want expert eyes on that data, Beacon by Jamf Threat Labs puts Jamf's own Mac threat researchers to work in your environment.

Key takeaways

DDM and popular AI tools have utterly transformed how Apple administrators manage and protect devices and users, and more transformation is ahead.

Jamf has made it easy to safely navigate this new world in which devices have turned into AI endpoints — each running multiple AI tools simultaneously. With cross-platform support from AI Assistant and additional threat hunting services, Jamf is here to support you.
