MP for Chamarajanagar Sunil Bose on Sunday said that Akka Cafes, run entirely by women, are emerging as a strong model for empowerment by enabling sustainable incomes.
Speaking after inaugurating an Akka Cafe at Terakanambi on Tuesday, along with a solid waste management unit built at a cost of ₹176.89 lakh in the Kongarahalli Gram Panchayat limits of Kollegal taluk, he said the initiative would strengthen the economic standing of women.
