Geophysical investigations for four hydropower initiatives, including one pumped storage project (PSP), in Kerala will be carried out by the National Institute of Rock Mechanics (NIRM), an autonomous research institute in Bengaluru under the Ministry of Mines.
The decision to award the work to NIRM was taken by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) management.
