Nagapattinam Collector P. Akash has invited applications for the entrance test to join the free painting training programme conducted at the Ponni Ciththira Kadal Art Training Centre functioning under the district educational self-development initiative.

According to a press release, persons aged above 13 from Nagapattinam district, who are interested in learning painting, can apply for the programme. Training will be conducted on weekends and holidays for six months.

The release said school and college students will be provided training and painting materials free of cost till the completion of the course. Certificates will be issued on completion of the training. The entrance test will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 24 (Sunday) at the main conference hall in the Collectorate. Candidates will be required to draw pencil sketches and colour paintings based on topics given at the examination hall.

Applicants should bring their own drawing material for the entrance test. Those interested should register their details through WhatsApp to 9003757531 before the evening of May 23.
