More than 1.15 lakh students are set to appear for SSLC Exam-2 2026, which will be conducted across 358 examination centres in the State from May 18 to 25.
The examination will begin with the first language paper on Monday. The social science paper is scheduled for May 23, while the final examination on May 25 will be for Junior Technical School subjects.
Of the total registered candidates, 76,673 are boys and 38,439 are girls. School-wise, 55,403 students from 5,488 government schools have registered for the examination, while 31,436 students from 3,250 aided schools and 28,273 students from 5,060 unaided schools will also appear.
Meanwhile, 11,881 students have registered to improve their results. In addition, 7,658 students who were unable to appear for the SSLC Exam-1 in the 2025-26 academic year due to shortage of attendance, have registered as private candidates for the exam-2.
