Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Friday (April 17, 2026) said the company has initiated an independent investigation into the recent matter concerning its Nashik unit.

The company said it has engaged teams from Deloitte and Trilegal as independent counsel to assist in the internal probe, which is being led by Aarthi Subramanian, president and COO of TCS, the company said in a statement.

In addition, TCS said it has constituted an oversight committee chaired by Keki Mistry, an independent director on its board. The company said it has appointed external experts and an oversight mechanism to ensure transparency and accountability is also being setup. “The findings of the internal investigation will be presented to this committee for review, following which recommendations, if any, will be implemented,” the company said.

Addressing reports circulating in media, the company said that Nida Khan, who has been described as an HR manager in some reports, did not hold such a role. TCS stated that she was a process associate and did not have any leadership or recruitment-related responsibilities.

The company also dismissed claims that its Nashik unit has been shut down, calling such reports “absolutely untrue.” It said operations at the facility continue as usual, with services being delivered to clients without disruption.

While a detailed review is ongoing, TCS said a preliminary examination of its systems and records related to the Nashik unit has not revealed any complaints of the nature being alleged through its ethics or POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) channels.

Reiterating its commitment to employee welfare and institutional integrity, TCS said it maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards coercion or misconduct. The company added that it is focused on ensuring a safe, respectful workplace across all locations.

TCS also said it is extending full cooperation to law enforcement agencies to enable a thorough and transparent investigation into the matter.
