The NEET question papers for the exam to be held on June 21 for undergraduate medicine admission reached Palayamkottai by an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter on Wednesday.

As the NEET question paper for the exam held on May 3 last got leaked to land the Union Ministry of Education in an awkward situation with the Opposition parties demanding the resignation of Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, the National Testing Agency (NTA), conducting the NEET for the nationwide undergraduate admission of medicine, to conduct the re-test on June 21.

After learning bitter lesson, the NTA conducting this test is now using the IAF choppers to transport safely the question papers to the designated districts.

One of the helicopters – IAF’s medium-lift transport chopper MI-17 - landed at Armed Reserve Police ground in Palayamkottai on Wednesday forenoon with the NEET question papers. Even as heavily armed personnel providing protective cover, the boxes containing the question papers were loaded in the vehicle of Department of Posts. The question papers will be transported in GPS-fitted vehicles to the examination centres with due security on the date of examination.
