Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) cadre celebrated the party’s victory in various parts of the district on Monday (May 4). Out of the 11 Assembly constituencies in Salem district, TVK won four: Salem West, Salem South, Salem North and Veerapandi.
TVK cadre gathered in front of the counting centre at the Karuppur Engineering College, burst crackers and distributed sweets to the public. The celebrations broke out in the evening at Jahir Ammapalayam, Alagapuram, Five Roads, Meyyanur Main Road, Hasthampatti, Ammapet and Gorimedu.
