The approximately 1.5-km stretch from Veppamoodu to MGR statue in Vadasery witnessed a sea of saffron, with a large number of BJP cadre gathering on both sides of the road to catch a glimpse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Party cadre showered flowers on Mr. Modi. One of them presented the Prime Minister with a photograph depicting his mother applying a tilak on his forehead.
