Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Bhongir MP, along with Government Whip and Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, inspected the paddy procurement centre in Kattangur mandal of the erstwhile Nalgonda district and assured farmers of full government support.

During the visit, the leaders reviewed the procurement process, weighing system and transportation arrangements at the centre. They also interacted directly with farmers and enquired about the problems being faced by them during procurement operations.

Responding to complaints regarding delays in transportation, the MP spoke to the District Collector over phone and instructed officials to ensure immediate transportation of procured paddy to warehouses. He also directed officials to avoid any shortage of lorries and make sufficient gunny bags available for farmers.

They assured full support to farmers. Mr. Reddy said that the government is monitoring the procurement process to ensure that payments are credited to farmers’ bank accounts within 48 hours.
