The FIFA World Cup 2026 round of 32 will kick off with South Africa taking on Canada at the Los Angeles Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams finished second in their respective groups with one win, one draw and one loss each and will be playing in the knockouts of the quadrennial tournament for the first time.

South Africa vs Canada head-to-head record

This will be the first-ever meeting between Canada and South Africa in the FIFA World Cup.

They have only faced each other once before, in an international friendly in 2007 with South Africa winning the game 2-0.
