Gyaneshwari wins silver and bronze at Asian Weighlifting Championships
Gyaneshwari Yadav clinched the silver medal in the Snatch section and secured bronze overall in the 53kg category at the 2026 Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.
Gyaneshwari delivered an impressive performance with a combined lift of 194 kg. She lifted 88kg in the Snatch section.
China’s Jinlan Zhao claimed gold in the category with a total lift of 216 kg, while the silver medal was secured by Hoai Huong Nguyen of Vietnam with a total of 195 kg.

Guhan Senthilkumar-Sandhesh advance in National doubles squash
The Tamil Nadu pair of Guhan Senthilkumar and Sandhesh PR moved into the men’s doubles quarterfinals of the 3rd HCL National Doubles Squash Championships in Chennai.
Senthilkumar and Sandhesh beat Naman Surana and Pranav Agarwal 11-1, 11-2 in the opening round.
Velavan Senthilkumar is partnering with Abhay Singh in men’s doubles and with veteran Joshna Chinappa in mixed doubles, and the pairs will be seen in action on Thursday.
