Indian referee Riiohlang Dar has been selected as a match official at the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup starting on September 5 in Poland.
Her appointment marks the second time that Dar has been selected to officiate at a FIFA World Cup.
In 2024, the 36-year-old referee who hails from Meghalaya became just the second woman after Uvena Fernandes to have the honour of supervising at a World Cup, when she was selected as part of the 38-member referee panel for the FIFA U-17 Womens World Cup that year.
