In a relief measure for airlines grappling with rising cost pressures from the ongoing Gulf crisis, India’s airport economic regulator has ordered an immediate 25 per cent reduction in landing and parking charges for domestic flights across all major airports.
Accordingly, the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) ordered a 25 per cent reduction from the prevailing tariffs.
The order applies to landing and parking charges, which are classified as part of aeronautical tariffs.
Notably, this measure is currently restricted to domestic operations.
Meanwhile, the authority stated that the applicability of this decision will be reviewed before the end of the three-month window.
The move follows the Ministry of Civil Aviation directive to mitigate the impact of West Asia crisis for a three-month period.
