Zydus Wellness Ltd has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary in Ireland, marking the company's first direct presence in the European Union for its vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS) business.

The new entity, Zydus Wellness (EU) Ltd (ZWEL), was incorporated on June 23, 2026, through the company's UAE-based subsidiary, Zydus Wellness International DMCC (ZWID). ZWID has subscribed to 100 ordinary shares of €1 each, giving it 100 per cent ownership of the Irish entity. Total share capital stands at €100.

The company has described the purpose of the incorporation as business expansion, with no government or regulatory approvals required for the move.

As a newly incorporated entity, ZWEL is not classified as a related party transaction. None of the promoter or promoter group companies hold any interest in ZWEL other than ZWID, which is its 100 per cent parent.

The stock was trading at ₹527.30 on the NSE on June 24, down 0.55 per cent from the previous close of ₹530.20 in early trade. The company carries a market capitalisation of approximately ₹16,874 crore. Its shares have returned around 33 per cent over the past year, against a near-flat Nifty 500 over the same period.
