Mitsu Chem Plast, a leading global manufacturer of molded products, has reported that its net profit in the March quarter more than doubled to ₹8 crore on the back of strong demand.

Income was down at ₹87 crore (₹90 crore). Expenses were down at ₹76 crore (₹86 crore).

The company has commissioned additional capacity of 900 tonnes per annum, taking total installed capacity to over 29,900 tonne per annum, with commencement of operations at the new Boisar facility in January.

It entered into a Global Supplier Agreement with Arjohuntleigh Polska (Poland), marking its onboarding as a global supplier to a leading medical equipment group.

The company has also strengthened its presence in the healthcare vertical, expanded export opportunities and enhanced global brand visibility while supporting long-term growth, it said.

In FY26, the company recorded net profit of ₹16 crore (₹7 crore) while income increased to ₹351 crore (₹333 crore).

Jagdish Dedhia, Chairman, Mitsu Chem Plast said the company improved profitability during the quarter, driven by disciplined execution, better operating efficiencies and a continued focus on higher value-added products.

The healthcare furniture division, Furnastra vertical continues to scale well, and export business remains on a strong growth trajectory spanning more than 17 countries, he said.

The entry into the Intermediate Bulk Container vertical will open a significant new avenue for growth, he added.

In FY27, the company will remain committed to disciplined capital deployment, operational excellence, and delivering sustainable long-term value for stakeholders, said Dedhia.
