Stryten launches E-Series AGM batteries for telecom and utility reliability

Stryten Energy has introduced a new line of multi-terminal AGM batteries designed to improve reliability in telecom and electric utility infrastructure. The E-Series AGM160 and AGM190 models target applications that require stable backup power and long discharge cycles in demanding environments.

For engineers and system designers across Europe, the announcement highlights a practical option for maintenance-free backup power systems where uptime and installation flexibility are critical. The batteries are aimed at telecom networks, grid infrastructure, and industrial backup systems.

Designed for harsh network environments

According to Stryten Energy, the E-Series AGM160 and AGM190 batteries are built to deliver consistent performance in applications that require extended discharge capability. The valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries support rapid charging and can operate at up to 80% depth of discharge without compromising reliability.

Both models are maintenance-free and use a sealed, spill-proof design. This allows the batteries to be mounted in any orientation, offering installation flexibility in cabinet enclosures and relay rack trays often used in telecom and industrial infrastructure.

The batteries also feature front and top terminal options, which can simplify installation and service access in space-constrained deployments. These design choices are intended to support telecom and utility operators that need dependable backup energy systems for distributed or remote equipment.

Targeting telecom and grid applications

Stryten says the E-Series batteries are suited for a range of telecom uses, including wireless networks, broadband systems, signaling equipment, distributed power systems, and customer premises equipment. In the utility sector, the batteries are designed for switchgear control power, SCADA systems, and industrial UPS deployments.

Two models are currently available in the series: the AGM160 and AGM190.

Stryten Energy’s new AGM multi-terminal batteries are built to withstand harsh environments and ensure critical infrastructures are available,” said Matt Gould, Vice President, Industrial Sales and Service. “The launch of these network power batteries reflects Stryten Energy’s extensive experience and leadership in valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery technology.”

Stryten Energy, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, develops energy storage systems across multiple sectors including essential power, transportation, and industrial applications.
