Rupee shock may slow India: Kearney sees 1-1.5 percentage point West Asia hit on GDP
Global consulting firm Kearney says fears of the rupee falling to extreme levels are overstated, citing India’s strong structural growth drivers in energy, manufacturing and infrastructure, even as it warns that geopolitical tensions could cut GDP growth by 1–1.5 percentage points in the near term. The firm expects short-term volatility in inflation, currency and demand, but remains positive on India’s long-term growth outlook.

Adani Group firms to invest nearly ₹5,694 crore to acquire Jaiprakash assets under insolvency plan
Following Adani Enterprises emerging as the resolution applicant for Jaiprakash Associates under the IBC, Adani Group firms Adani Power and APSEZ have begun executing asset acquisitions worth nearly ₹5,694 crore across power, logistics and industrial land parcels. The deals form part of an NCLT-approved resolution plan and include thermal power assets, stakes in power companies and logistics-linked land in North India, to be implemented within 90 days of approval.
