Those of you who have had issues with MySQL 3.51 and catastrophic failure messages are advised to test whether this patch works for you.
This version *should* work with 4.1 servers that use new password hashing. Get it at:
ftp://ftp.mysql.com/pub/mysql/download/MyODBC-3.51.10-2-patch3.zip
If you still have problem with this patch, or your MySQL server is 3.x, just try to use the old version of MyODBC/Connector such as MyODBC-3.51.06.
