According to exit polls, the BJP is likely to secure a landslide majority in Assam and Puducherry, whereas it is likely to struggle in Kerala. In Bengal, most pollsters have predicted a tight contest between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
In Tamil Nadu, most pollsters have predicted a strong comeback for the DMK-Congress combine, with Times Now-JVC and Axis My India being the only exceptions. Times Now-JVC predicted a comfortable majority for the AIADMK, giving it 128-147 seats, whereas Axis My India predicted a huge win for TVK, giving it 98-120 seats.

Ahead of the counting of votes, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee alleged in a post on X that "deliberate load-shedding" is being carried out in various areas of West Bengal such as Hooghly's Serampore, Nadia’s Krishnanagar, to Burdwan's Ausgram, and Kolkata's Kshudiram Anushilan Kendra.
She further claimed that CCTV is being turned off and vehicles are moving in and out of strong rooms.
