@ Jan: May the 4th is celebrated abroad as a kind of Star Wars day.
Avatar 🦆 Swag For Life Member 11:44am
Paper Kosmonaut: In The Netherlands, May the 4th is remembrance day, when we remember the people who lost their lives in wars and conflicts. It used to be just WW2, but nowadays it is about every Dutch person who perished in war and/or conflict.
Right after this show ends, 20:00 h. local time, the Dutch have two minutes of silence.
Avatar 🦆 Swag For Life Member 11:54am
Paper Kosmonaut: Tomorrow we celebrate Liberation Day, the official Dutch end of WW2. There'll be manby Liberation Day pop festivals around the country, fairs, and all that kind of stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am
Jan Turkenburg: Ah, I understand now. Thanks everybody. Hi David and PK! As I will (try to) explain, that I completely forgot what date it would be today, during preparation, a few days ago, so there will be no reference to any meaning whatsoever...

That sounds very similar to Memorial Day here in the US (which is also in May - always the last Monday.) It was initially began by a veterans organization after the American Civil War to honor the Union soldiers who had died, but expanded to all lost US military members after the World Wars.

I did some quick search on Daniëlla. Her real name is Duifje Gout. Duifje. What a sweet name. She played a night club singer in a Dutch crime film and the two songs from the film were released as a single. After that, she did this Dutch language single. And that was all she ever released.

WM: Come to think of it, there is a French movie L'année des méduses (Year of the Jellyfish 1984) Directed by Christopher Frank. Pretty good movie, although it's main attraction is that the very beautiful actress Valérie Kaprisky walks around almost naked through most of the film.
