I knew that he sang and played guitar (he'd sometimes bring it to class), but nothing about his career. He was so damned modest that he never mentioned it to me. He was tremendously sensitive to children's thinking and ways of being. Steve was a beautiful human being. 12:52pm

Yes, two grandkids, according to the numerous online testimonials. It's heartening to see so many. Thank you again for being the catalyst who enabled me to reconnect with Steve five years ago. I heard a song here, and wrote him immediately. He sent back a long letter, and we had a wonderful correspondence. I regret not getting together with him again.
