EXCLUSIVE: Ciarán Hinds, May Calamawy and Ruaridh Mollica joining Channing Tatum and Eve Hewson on the Amazon MGM Studios pic Isle of Man, a new movie set around the iconic race with production starting this Friday. Reid Carolin is directing the film and wrote the script alongside Jason Keller and Bryan Johnson. The film, which also stars Éanna Hardwicke, is produced by Tatum and Carolin’s Free Association, Brad Pitt’s Plan B, Entertainment 360’s Guymon Casady and Jason Keller. 

Long before Formula 1, World Endurance, and MotoGP, there was the Isle of Man TT. As the world’s oldest continuously running motorsport event, the TT remains a one-of-a-kind spectacle with no substitute and no equal. With riders pushing to the edge at around 200 mph, the TT represents the pinnacle of sporting endeavor and the relentless pursuit of glory.

Production on Isle of Man is being conducted under extensive safety protocols developed in collaboration with experienced stunt, medical, and motorsport safety professionals. Measures include dedicated on-track safety supervision, comprehensive cast and crew safety briefings, embedded medical support, managed filming environments and controlled-access procedures, and aligned safety management systems in collaboration with the Race Organiser and Amazon MGM Studios production standards.

Hinds received Academy Award, BAFTA, Critics Choice, and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for his performance in Belfast. Hinds is widely recognized for roles in acclaimed films including There Will Be Blood, Munich, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Road to Perdition, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and The Woman in Black, as well as the television series Game of Thrones, Rome, The Terror, and Kin. Most recently, Hinds starred in Focus Features’ The Narrow Road to the Deep North opposite Jacob Elordi and Odessa Young. He is represented by CAA and Independent Talent Group.

Most recently, Calamawy starred opposite Jack Reynor and Laia Costa in Lee Cronin’s The Mummy for New Line Cinema. Her breakthrough came in 2019 as a series regular on Hulu’s Peabody Award-winning and Emmy-nominated comedy series Ramy. Calamawy made history when she joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the acclaimed series Moon Knight, starring opposite Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke, becoming the first Arab and first Egyptian superhero in the MCU. Calamawy can next be seen in Netflix’s highly anticipated action series Mercenary: An Extraction Series, created by Glen Mazzara. Mollica will next be seen as a lead role in Marvel’s Vision Quest; the highly anticipated final chapter in the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. Ruaridh is best known for a breakout performance in Mikko Mäkelä’s indie drama Sebastian and is currently in production on Lorna Tucker’s feature debut, Bare.
